We had the most frustrating experience and found it to be an inefficient service with zero communication - in the last ten months from January to October 2024 - filled with unnecessary delays and lack of information. Our first meeting with our solicitor at their Los Alcazares office went well (regarding the sale of our Hacienda Riequelme golf resort apartment). Our solicitor did not inform us that we had exchanged contracts; nor that the sales proceeds had arrived from the buyer in Spain. In our experience from 23rd January to 10th October, only after many unanswered emails and unanswered several phone calls later - from London to Spain - did we receive our sales proceeds - in three extremely slow stages. These delays were not only due to third parties, such as the Spanish tax office returning refunds; but, essentially due to the response time by Abad Abogados legal firm in dealing with the matter. All legal information & sales proceeds requested was eventually provided with severe delays, compared to response times expected in London.

In this particular case, we have checked your file and we can confirm that much of the delay was indeed due to the time taken by the Spanish tax authorities to process and return the required refunds. Unfortunately, these timelines are outside of our control, though we continue to monitor each stage closely and follow up frequently to help expedite matters as best we can.

However, we also take very seriously your concerns regarding our communication throughout the process. Which absolutely, should have been better.
